Block Parties 

A Block Party is a large public party in which members of a single neighborhood gather together.

Manheim Township requires a completed and approved Block Party Application for any neighborhood block parties on Township streets and right-of-way. 

Block Party Applications MUST be submitted no less than 14 days in advance of the date of the event.

Please read the following prior to submitting your Block Party Application:

  1. Before clicking the link to submit a Block Party Application, first download the Signature Form and collect signatures from at least 51% of the residents living in the location of the requested block party. You will be asked to upload this completed form when filling out the Block Party Application online. These signatures are a mandatory part of the block party request process.
  2. If the road you are requesting is NOT Municipality owned, your Block Party Application will not be accepted/reviewed.
  3. Block party applications must be signed by at least 51% of residents on the block requested. Please have residents sign the downloaded Signature Form prior to clicking the online form below. 
  4. Resident submitting this application must be an adult (18 years or older) and reside on the block being closed.
  5. Only one signature per household will be accepted.
  6. Only official barricades and cones from Manheim Township are authorized to be used for block parties.
  7. Barricades and/or cones are provided at no cost for block parties. Missing or damaged barricades and/or cones are the responsibility of the Block Party Applicant and shall be charged at the replacement cost plus a 10% Administrative Fee.
  8. Once the Signature Form is complete, fill out the Block party Application.
  9. You will need to fill in all sections of the online portal form and upload the completed Signature Form.
  10. Once you have completed your online form, an email will be sent to the Public Works Department notifying them of your submission.
