Manheim Township expects to update the Comprehensive Plan in 2023 and is seeking volunteers to assist with this process.
A Comprehensive Plan provides elected officials with a powerful strategic tool in which to guide future growth and development for the community.
Through the process, issues and opportunities facing the community will be assessed and recommendations formulated to achieve community goals. The current Manheim Township Comprehensive Plan was adopted in March 2010.

The application period for Comprehensive Plan volunteers will close on January 31st. All applicants will receive a questionnaire with 3-4 questions from the Board of Commissioners on or about February 1st. Applicants will be asked to respond to these questions and the answers will be the initial mechanism used by the Board of Commissioners to review the applicant pool and to select candidates for an initial interview with the Board.
Final selections are anticipated to be made sometime in February to coincide with the selection of the new Community Development Manager, who will be overseeing the Comprehensive Plan project.
