LEGAL NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Building 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance of Manheim Township, which has been proposed by Christian Hoke.   At the conclusion of the June 9, 2025 public hearing or at a subsequent public meeting held within 60 days of the date of the second publication of this advertisement, the Board shall consider enacting and, if appropriate, will take a vote on adopting and enacting proposed Ordinance 2025-07, the caption of which is as follows:  AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MANHEIM TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE OF 2014 TO CHANGE THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS VALLEYBROOK DRIVE, MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, FROM THE BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) AND D-C CORRIDOR OVERLAY DISTRICT (D-C) TO THE RESIDENTIAL ZONE (R-2).  

A brief summary of the proposed ordinance is set forth below. Section 1 amends the official zoning map of Manheim Township by changing the zoning classification of the property located on the Southeast side of Delp Road and on the Southwest side of Valleybrook Drive in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (Parcel ID No. 390-72479-0-0000),  consisting of approximately 15.14 acres from Business District (B-1) with a D-C Corridor District Overlay (D-C) to the Residential District (R-2).  Section 2 directs the Secretary of Manheim Township to change the zoning map to affect the reclassification.  The proposed ordinance includes a repealer and severability provision as well as an effective date provision. 

A copy of the proposed ordinance may be examined or copied in the office of the Township Secretary at 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.   A copy of the Ordinance also may be examined without charge at the offices of this newspaper (LNP) and at the Lancaster County Law Library located at 50 N.
