The Manheim Township Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to host their 5th Annual Community Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 13th. The event is open to the public from 1 pm to 3 pm and will take place exclusively on the turf fields of the Manheim Township Athletic Complex (2883 Weaver Road, Lancaster, PA). The event was set for Saturday, April 12th, but due to rain/cold conditions forcaseed, the event has been postponed to Sunday, April 13th.
The event is family-friendly, and free for all to attend and enjoy.
The egg hunts will officially start at 1:30 pm. To ensure fairness for all children, designated time slots will be assigned based on age groups. Children ages 2 and under, as well as those aged 3-4, will begin first in separate hunting areas. Following them, the hunts for ages 5-6 and 7-8 will take place.
“$8.00 for a dozen eggs?? At the Manheim Township Community Egg Hunt, we will have 8,000 eggs...for free!” said Manheim Township Recreation Director, Matt Stopa. “We’ll have egg hunts for age groups up to 8 years old, and one bonus round for all ages. Free popcorn, vendors, games, and food for sale. Bring the whole family for this fun-filled afternoon!"
In addition to photo opportunities with the holiday bunny, there will be crafts, egg-themed games, DJ entertainment, and two face painters.
Guests are invited to bring their own baskets to collect eggs.
