LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Building, 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will consider for enactment and, if appropriate, vote to enact proposed Ordinance 2025-13, the full title and text of which is as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 109 OF THE TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES GOVERNING PENSION PLANS AND RETIREMENTS, CONFIRMING AND CONTINUING THE TOWNSHIP’S NON-UNIFORMED EMPLOYEE MONEY PURCHASE PENSION PLAN, AND ESTABLISHING A SEPARATE MONEY PURCHASE PENSION PLAN FOR TOWNSHIP FIREFIGHTERS.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as follows:
SECTION 1 amends Chapter 109 of the Ordinance by adding a new Article IV establishing a non-uniformed employee pension plan, including provisions for participation, administration and termination of the plan.
SECTION 2 amends Chapter 109 of the Ordinance by adding a new Article V regarding firefighter pension plans including provisions for participation, administration and termination of the plan.
The Ordinance contains repealer and severability provisions. This Ordinance shall become effective after its enactment by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as provided by law. Copies of Ordinance No. 2025-13 as proposed together with any related exhibits are available for public inspection and may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Township Secretary 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A copy of the Ordinance also may be examined without charge at the offices of this newspaper (LNP) and at the Lancaster County Law Library located at 50 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
