LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Building 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will consider for enactment proposed ORDINANCE 2023-12 the full title and text of which is as follows: ORDINANCE 2023-12. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SPECIAL PURPOSE PARKING AND REMOVAL OF SPECIAL PURPOSE PARKING ZONE FROM SCHEDULE II-D WHICH IS CONTAINED IN THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MANHEIM AT § 480-75 AND IS REFERRED TO IN § 480-24. BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 480- 75, Schedule II-D of the Code of the Township of Manheim, as amended (“Code”), is hereby amended to establish the following parking special purpose parking zone, the same shall be added to those set forth in Schedule II-D of the Code, the appropriate signs shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Studies attached to and made a part of this Ordinance: Street: Skyline Drive, Side: South, Location: In front of 724 Skyline Drive, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking; Street: Wallingford Road, Side: North, Location: In front of 660 Wallingford Road, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking; Street: Jackson Street, Side: South, Location: In front of 120 Jackson Street, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking; Street: North Lime Street, Side: West, Location: In front of 1014 North Lime Street, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking; Street: Martha Avenue, Side: North, Location: In front of 809 Martha Avenue, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking.
SECTION 2. Section 480-75, Schedule II-D of the Code of the Township of Manheim, as amended (“Code”), is hereby amended to remove the following handicapped parking restriction, the same shall be removed from that set forth in Schedule II-D of the Code, the appropriate sign shall be removed and Ordinance No. 2023-02, Section 1 authorizing the special purpose parking zone is hereby repealed. Street: Janet Avenue, Side: East, Location: In front of 631 Janet Avenue, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking [Repealed].
SECTION 3. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of said Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect, and the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon enactment.
