The purpose of this hearing is to discuss needs in the community which Manheim Township is planning to address with funds available under Lancaster County’s Fiscal Year 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Manheim Township has identified projects that it intends to submit to the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Lancaster to address one or more of the needs identified by Manheim Township and contained in Lancaster County’s Fiscal Years 2021-2025 Consolidated Plan.
Manheim Township invites affected residents, property owners, and other stakeholders to attend this meeting to identify other needs that should be addressed and to comment on the following potential proposed project(s):
900 block of N. Prince Street – Removal and replacement of approximately 245 linear feet of concrete curbing, along with approximately 1,610 square feet of concrete sidewalk, and 180 square feet of concrete driveway apron.
900 block of N. Queen Street - Removal and replacement of approximately 245 linear feet of concrete curbing, along with approximately 920 square feet of concrete sidewalk, 55 square yards of grass restoration, and 120 square feet of concrete driveway apron.
Grant funding requested is $130,000 with $30,000 matching funds from the Township. Project will serve hundreds of local residents that use this sidewalk for access to local retail, commercial and transportation hubs.
