LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Building, 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will consider for enactment, and if appropriate take action to enact, proposed Ordinance 2023-03 the full title and text of which is as follows: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONS TO § 480-72, SCHEDULE II-A TO PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES AND AT SECTION 480-75, SCHEDULE II-D TO CREATE A SPECIAL PURPOSE PARKING ZONE AND ALSO AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A LEFT CURVE INDICATION SIGN. BE IT ENACTED AND
ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as follows: SECTION 1. Schedule II-A of the Code of the Township of Manheim, as amended (“Code”), which is contained in § 480-72 and referred to at § 480-21, is hereby amended to prohibit parking at all times, the same shall be added to those set forth in
Schedule II-A of the Code, and the appropriate signs shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Studies attached to and made a part of this Ordinance: Street: Merchants Square, Side: Both, Between: On the north and south sides of Merchants Square adjoining and across from the fire truck exit ramp from Manheim Township Fire Rescue Station 202 at 600 Richmond Drive. SECTION 2. Section 480-75, Schedule II-D of the Code, is hereby amended to establish the following parking special purpose parking zone, the same shall be added to those set forth in Schedule II-D of the Code, the appropriate signs shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Studies attached to and made a part of this Ordinance: Street: Martha Avenue, Side: East, Location: 100 feet north of Fountain Avenue, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking. SECTION 3. The posting of a left curve sign (W1-6) near the intersection of Meadow Lane and Shaub Drive. The sign should face west on Meadow Lane to slow traffic as it approaches the left hand curve onto Shaub Drive as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Study attached to and made a part of this Ordinance. SECTION 4.
Should any paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of said Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect, and the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. SECTION
5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon enactment. Copies of Ordinance No. 2023-03 together with any related exhibits are available for public inspection and may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Township Secretary 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
