[ARCHIVED] Public Meeting Regarding the Remand of the Oregon Village Decision

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE is hereby given that the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners will convene a public meeting on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Morgan Center, Manheim Township Public Library, 595 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  The purpose of the meeting is for the Board of Commissioners to determine how it will proceed in the matter of RV Holdings, LP and Hurst Family Estate, LP (“Applicants”) that was remanded to the Board.  This matter involves properties located along Oregon Pike (Pennsylvania Route 272); East Oregon Road; Creek Road; Jake Landis Road and Route 222.  The properties are located within the B-3 and B-4 business Districts and the T-5 and T-1 overlay zoning districts.  Applicants sought and were granted conditional use approval pursuant to Section 2406 of the Manheim Township Zoning Ordinance for a master site planned development involving a mix of residential and commercial uses, which approval was appealed.  On February 14, 2022, the Court of Common Pleas issued an Order stating that “the decision of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township (the ‘Board’) is VACATED and this matter is REMANDED to the Board for the issuance of a new decision consistent with the opinion of the Commonwealth Court dated December 13, 2021.”  Copies of the Commonwealth Court’s decision and the original Application together with any related exhibits are available for public inspection and may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Township Secretary 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.    This meeting will be held in-person and virtually.  Instructions for participating virtually are posted on the Township’s website (www.manheimtownship.org). The public may contact the Township during regular business hours with any questions.
