On Sunday, December 5th, the Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department is hosting their 41st Annual Holiday Open House at Stauffer Mansion (1241 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, 17601). This family-friendly event is free to the public and will occur between 1 pm and 4 pm.
The annual festivity is of one Parks and Rec’s most anticipated events each year and this year’s lineup boasts a wide variety of holiday fun. Dance-Sations Youth Program will be performing at 1:15 pm, PA’s Busiest Magician, Eddy Ray at 2:15 pm, Manheim Township High School Troubadours Choral Ensemble at 3:30 pm, arts and crafts from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, refreshments, and Santa Clause will be in attendance as well from 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm.
“The Holiday Open House is a long-standing tradition for our department, with this being our 41st year of running the event,” said Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Director, Matt Stopa. “Traditionally, the community had the opportunity to tour historic Stauffer Mansion and enjoy entertainment in the Carriage House. However, this year we are shifting gears to outside entertainment, with the exception of visiting Santa Clause. If you are looking for a festive afternoon to spend with your family, this would be a great opportunity for some holiday cheer.”
Manheim Township Recreation and Park Planning Department will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food and toys for those in need, on behalf of Toys for Tots, and Chasing Down Hunger.
