[ARCHIVED] NOTICE - A BOIL WATER ADVISORY is in effect for 71-114 Buch Ave.and 47-59 Northview Drive areas

As of Wednesday, 10/26 at 9:00 AM, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect for:

71-114 BUCH AVENUE and 47-59 Northview Drive: Located in Neffsville, Manheim Township, west of Lititz Pike. The boil water advisory is required because of maintenance on the water system.

A boil water advisory notice is posted on the City of Lancaster web site. Affected customers will be notified via the South Central Alert emergency notification and a notice will be posted on the City web site.

We are issuing this notice as a precaution. There is no evidence at this time that the water is not safe to drink. The notice instructs customers not to use the water without boiling it first. Until further notice, boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, food preparation, washing dishes, brushing teeth and making ice.

The repair work could cause temporary cloudy/brown/rusty water. The water should clear within several hours after the repair work is completed.

If you have questions call Al Nagy at 291-4833 or the Water Quality Lab at 291-4818.
