On Friday, October 12, 2019, Chief Thomas Rudzinski with the Manheim Township Police Department, Daryl Mitchell with the Manheim Township Ambulance Association, and Captain Daniel Bezek with the Manheim Township Fire Rescue all "responded" to the Oregon Dairy to participate in a pumpkin carving contest. The department heads were on scene to select their organization's pumpkin, which their agency will carve, and return to the dairy to be judged in a contest. The carved pumpkins will be on display at Oregon Dairy's Corn Maze Barn at 1289 Creek Road in Manheim Township from Thursday, October 17th to Sunday, October 20th, 2019.
Citizens who attend the Corn Maze can vote for their favorite pumpkin carving by making a donation. The pumpkin which raises the most money will win! All proceeds will benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The check presentation will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20th, at the Corn Maze! For more information, please visit Oregon Dairy's Facebook page! We hope to see you there!
