On Friday, December 7th, 2018, the Manheim Township Police Department, under the direction of Officer Jesse Crnkovic, was proud to donate three (3) full boxes of presents for the United States Marine Corps Reserve's Toys For Tots program. Officer Crnkovic dedicated much of his personal time to make connections to sponsors of this program, which will make Christmas morning a bit brighter for many needy children in Lancaster County. The collected toys were combined with other toys collected by other police agencies all over Lancaster County.
The Manheim Township Police Department would like to thank two very generous benefactors to this program:
1) Joshua Sites: Mr. Sites donated more than $350.00 from his eBay store inventory (www.ebay.com/str/hulktoysnmore). Mr. Sites expressed that he felt a need to support such a great program because he has seen the joy that this program brings to children in need.
2) Anonymous Person: An unknown person donated more than $500.00 in toys in honor of Corporal Eric Torbert, Jr. Corporal Torbert was a United States Marine, and Lancaster County native, that was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan. We thank Corporal Torbert and his family for their sacrifice to this country.
