The Recreation and Park Planning Department offers garden plots to individuals interested in gardening for their own enjoyment. The garden is conveniently located at the Township’s Compost Park, (2775 Oregon Pike, Manheim Township, PA) and are available from April 1 through November 1, dusk to dawn (weather permitting). Each plot is 20’ X 40’ and are marked with stakes on all four corners of the lot. Plots are $45 for the season, and a senior rate is available ($30). Leaf compost materials are available on site for a fee for Garden Plots.
Garden plot spaces are available each year, starting in January of the calendar year. Prior year gardeners receive priority to reserve their plot from prior seasons.
2026 New Garden Plot Reservations will begin Tuesday, January 20th, 2026. Last year’s gardeners may reserve their same plot (as previous year) beginning January 5th, 2026.
