Police Recruitment
Periodically, the Township tests for new police officers to serve the Township. Police officer applicants are required to first take a civil service test for placement on an eligibility list. An eligibility list is good for one year after a test is given. The top three candidates from the eligibility list are considered for each police officer vacancy after a background investigation, polygraph examination and interviews by a selection board.

Drug, physical and psychological tests are required before appointment. Civilian positions are filled as needed.

FireFighter/EMT Recruitment

Periodically, the Township will set a recruitment period for civil service testing for fulltime and part-time fire fighter/EMT positions within the Manheim Township Fire Rescue.

For more information regarding the recruitment period, and/or the application packet, click here, or contact the Director of Human Resources
