1) Theft, 5:00 pm – 2:54 am, July 28 – July 29, 2017, 1700 block Fruitville Pk (MT) – Michael James Canfield, M/41, of Lancaster, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking. At 2:55 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017 an East Lampter Twp. PD officer observed a vehicle behind a closed business at the Tanger Outlets. He found Canfield in the vehicle and in possession of a chainsaw that was later found to be stolen from the Belmont development construction site. The charge was filed.

2) Theft, 9:00 pm – 5:00 am, May 14 – July 15, 2017, various location (MT) – Gavin Xander Garcia, M/19, and Jabbar Maurtekeyvi Rice, M/18, both of Lancaster, were each charged with one count of felony Theft by Unlawful Taking / Conspiracy to Commit Theft by Unlawful Taking, three counts of Theft from Motor Vehicle / Conspiracy to Commit Theft from Motor Vehicle, one count of Criminal Mischief / Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief. Garcia and Rice had entered numerous vehicles and stole numerous items in the Grandview Heights area of Manheim Township. The charges were filed.

3) Retail Theft, 1:36 pm, Monday, July 10, 2017, Walmart, 2030 Fruitville Pk (MT) – Devon Benjamin Lawton, M/24, of Lancaster, was charged with Retail Theft after he was observed on video surveillance entering the store, concealing merchandise and exiting the store without paying for the items. He was later identified and the charge was filed.

4) False Alarms to Agencies of Public Safety, 10:12 pm, Friday, June 9, 2017, 1400 Harrisburg Pk (MT) – Randell Durrell Kinnard, M/38, of Lancaster, was charged with False Alarms to Agencies of Public Safety and False Reports to Law Enforcement. Kinnard called 911 stating that a co-worker had a gun and threatened him. The investigation revealed that he lied about the incident occurring. The charges were filed.

5) Home Improvement Fraud, 12:00 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 900 block Pleasure Rd (MT) - Shaun Edward Schaefer, M/28, of Lancaster, was charged with two counts of Home Improvement Fraud and one count of Theft by Deception. Schaefer approached the victim, provided a false name, and solicited the victim to replace his driveway. The victim agreed and gave him a total of $2485 as a down
payment. Schaefer never started the work and refused to return the money. The charges were filed.

6) DUI, 8:26 pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017, Rt 222S at Bushong Rd (MT) – Gwendolyn Ann Serrano, F/33, of Ephrata, was charged with DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Driving without a License, and Careless Driving. Serrano was traveling southbound on Rt 222 at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic. She then struck the rear bumper of a vehicle causing Serrano’s vehicle to roll over several times. Serrano was found at the scene with obvious signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance which was found in her vehicle. Serrano was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The charges were filed.

7) DUI, 3:44 am, Sunday, August 6, 2017, 2300 block Lititz Pk (MT) – Zachary Rivera, M/20, of Lancaster, was charged with DUI after he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole, three mailboxes, and a bush. He was found at the scene and displayed signs of alcohol impairment. He was taken into custody, processed and later released. The charge was filed.

8) Aggravated Harassment by Prisoner, 12:20 am, Saturday, August 5, 2017, Days Inn, 1492 Lititz Pk (MT) – Candice Leann Simpson, F/28, homeless, was charged with Aggravated Harassment by Prisoner, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Drunkenness. Officers were called for a domestic at the Days Inn and found Simpson lying in a stairwell with obvious signs of alcohol intoxication. She became loud and refused officer’s orders to be quiet. She was taken into custody and transported to the station where she spit in an officer’s face. She was later released to Central Booking.

9) Indirect Criminal Contempt, 11:38 pm, Thursday, August 3, 2107, 600 block Royal View Dr (MT) - Daniel J. Zell, M/38, of Lancaster, was charged with Indirect Criminal Contempt after he contacted his ex-girlfriend in violation of a Protection from Abuse order. He was taken into custody, processed, and released to Central Booking.

10) Forgery, 3:20 pm, Saturday, July 28, 2017, Citizen’s Bank, 1415 Lititz Pk (MT) – Skyler James Daugherty, M/24, of Manheim, was charged with Forgery after he altered a check written and given to him by the victim in the amount of $52. Daugherty then altered the amount to $152 and cashed the check. The charge was filed.

11) Burglary, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, Thursday, August 3, 2107, 500 block Koser Rd (MT) – Brennard Austin Miller, M/21, homeless, was charged with Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Criminal Mischief. Miller forced entry to a home, stole some items and fled the area. Miller was identified after review of surveillance video. He was taken into custody several hours later, processed and released to Central Booking.

12) Vehicle Theft, 12:00 am – 9:00 am, Sunday, August 6, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Ln (LT) – Unknown actor(s) stole the victim’s gray 2007 Chrysler 300, PA registration JXN005.
