Smart Strides Program

Become a part of Manheim Township's healthy community by signing up for our Smart Strides program, a motivational walking program that used a pedometer to help you reach your fitness goals.

Studies have shown that the average person takes between 3,000 and 4,000 steps per day. The Smart Strides program encourages participants to achieve a goal of at least 10,000 steps per day. There are numerous opportunities to get your steps in during the winter, whether it be walking around the mall, grocery store, going into the bank instead of using the drive through, or better yet, walking indoors at the Overlook Activities Center.

By joining Smart Strides and sticking to the program, you can walk your way to a healthier, happier you.
